Donate Materials

The Wisconsin Veterans Museum, through the generosity of our donors, aims to commemorate, acknowledge, and affirm the role that Wisconsin's veterans have played in shaping our local and national history.

The Wisconsin Veterans Museum will consider for donation military items such as uniforms and memorabilia, as well as archival material, diaries, letters, photographs, and books where there is a significant tie to Wisconsin. All items for consideration will be accepted on a temporary custody form and will be reviewed for placement in our permanent collection, study collection, or library by a collections committee. Following the decision of the committee, donors will receive a certificate of gift form which must be signed and returned to the museum in order to transfer custody to The Wisconsin Veterans Museum. Declined items will be returned to the donor with a letter of explanation.

To begin the donation process, please fill out and submit the Online Donation Form or contact the Curator of History (objects) or the Reference Archivist (documents, photos, and books).

To participate in our Oral History Project, please complete the Oral History Request Form.

The Wisconsin Veterans Museum is an educational activity of the Wisconsin Department of Veterans Affairs.
