Schedule Tour

Guided group tours provide participants with an in-depth interpretation of the Museum’s highlights. The Museum welcomes tour groups of all types. We ask that you please contact us at least two weeks in advance to schedule your tour; especially during the spring when we experience our highest volume of visitors.

Groups of ten or more can make an online reservation for a tour or can contact Erin Hoag by phone at 608.264.7663 or e-mail visitor.curator@dva.wisconsin.gov

The museum offers three tour options; self guided tours, docent guided tours, and scavenger hunts. All tours are FREE and last about an hour.

Self Guided Tours: Explore the museum at your own pace and with your own interests in mind.

Docent Guided Tours: Guided tours are available for groups of ten or more. Many of our docents are veterans whose unique perspectives enhance the visitor experience.

Scavenger Hunts: Kids answer questions in their booklets by searching exhibits in the museum. Scavenger hunt booklets are differentiated for grades K-12 and include text in both English and Spanish. Click here to visit our scavenger hunt booklet page, download a booklet PDF for your visit and get ready to explore!

After Your Visit Please Complete the School Tour Evaluation.
Please take a few moments to tell us about your tour experience. Your input helps us improve our programs and makes future visits more rewarding for all visitors. Mail your completed form to the address at the top of the form, or email to Visitor Services.
