DESCRIPTION:Join us on Saturday\, November 12th for this year’s Convoy Speaker Series fundraiser at The Grand Hotel Ballroom in La Crosse\, WI. The Convoy Speaker Series is designed to connect veterans among themselves and with the museum\, connect a community\, and educate people about veterans’ experiences and some great stories related to Wisconsin veterans. This is a traveling speaker series that is hosted in a new community across Wisconsin each year. \nThis year\, the event will feature keynote Don Weber. Don will share his story as a United States Marine Corps Vietnam War Combat Veteran. For his distinguished military service he has received many awards\, among them the Purple Heart and two Bronze Stars. He is also the founder of Logistics Health and additional businesses that have helped grow the economic base in Wisconsin as a whole. \nThere will be a VIP reception with Don\, starting at 10 AM until 11:30 AM. Tickets are $50/person. The cost includes a special presentation with the Director of the Museum\, drinks\, lunch and the keynote speech. General Admission cost is $25/person and includes lunch at 11:30 AM and program. DESCRIPTION:Join us for our virtual Drink & Draw events as our Artist In-Residence\, Yvette Pino\, leads you through a delightful drawing experience inspired by images from the Wisconsin Veterans Museum collection. So gather your supplies\, pour yourself a beverage\, and bring your artistic energy as we spend the evening together stretching our creative muscles. \nThis event is free of charge\, open to anyone who registers\, and is suitable for all ages. We will send you a link to join the event after you register. \nREGISTER HERE \nDrink & Draw events are a longstanding tradition in the art community where people gather to draw in a welcoming environment without inhibitions. Although the events often coincide with happy-hour style programming\, there is no requirement or emphasis on alcoholic consumption. Some of the best attended Drink & Draws are dry and we are just fine with that.
