Seaman Raymond P. Konz-Krzyminski

Raymond P. Konz-Krzyminski served in the United States Navy from 1976 to 1978 and deployed to the Mediterranean Sea aboard the USS Independence. Konz-Krzyminski grew up in a patriotic family dedicated to public and military service and this influenced him throughout his life, first as a chaplain’s assistant and later as a social worker. In his interview, he discusses the emerging gay scene in the 1970s, his separation from the military, and his feelings regarding the repeal of Don’t Ask Don’t Tell.
