With space in the State Capitol Building at a premium, demands from legislators for the GAR Memorial Hall to be relocated continued. In the spring of 1977, a subcommittee of the State Building Commission sought to remove the GAR Memorial Hall again. With the support of veterans groups, WDVA Secretary John Moses held the line.
