Travel Trunks

Our Travel Trunk program offers anyone the opportunity to have pieces of the Museum available to enhance the learning experience of their audience. Travel Trunks are a great way for your patrons, students, and guests to build their historical thinking skills, ask questions about the past, and share knowledge. Each trunk contains uniforms, artifacts, multi-media, lesson plans and activities that illustrate the Wisconsin soldier's experience in one of the following conflicts:

• Civil War
• World War I
• WWII: European Theater 
• WWII: Pacific Theater
• Korea
• Vietnam
• Gulf War
• Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) / Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF)

Travel Trunks may be rented for two weeks and may be picked up at the Wisconsin Veterans Museum or shipped directly to your location. The cost to rent a travel trunk is $26 (shipping costs are extra). Upon request, printed secondary sources and dvds are also an available supplement with your travel trunk rental.
