Chief Petty Officer (E7) 1994 Master at Arms Carol Johnson.

Carol Johnson served in the United States Navy from 1981 to 2001 as an ocean systems technician and a K9 handler. In her interview, Johnson describes how the close-knit group of people she worked with looked out for one another and because of this her sexual orientation was not really an issue. Johnson recounts tracking Soviet submarines in Iceland, working with her patrol dog in Japan, and being stationed in California when Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell was put into place.
